Web Developer
World Energy Solutions, Inc., the undisputed leader in the online energy procurement space, with at least 5 times the volume of its closest competitor, is looking for a competitive, “A-level” player to fill our Web Developer position. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of at least 2-4 years for software development experience with two or more years developing n-tier ASP/SQL server web based applications. 2 years designing, developing and building code using advanced techniques in ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, ActiveX, .Net frameworks including ASP.NET, DHTLM, CSS and COM. 2 years with Microsoft T-SQL Query Language: creating/modifying complex stored procedures, packages, views, and functions, relational database management (configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning). The ideal candidate must have: - Understanding of all phases of systems development life cycle; basic understanding of UML modeling and use case methodology.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols and interfaces (TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, NNTP, LDAP), security (SSL, PKI, Kerberos), and automated testing tools for QA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Access, Word, Office, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services or equivalent reporting product
- Excellent, proactive verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

You will be expected to: - Develop new web components for database driven platform using ASP.NET, VB.NET, JavaScript, XML, Visual Studio, and Visual Source Safe
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing web platform
- IIS 5 & 6 configuration, troubleshooting, & administration (including security issues)
- SQL Server 2000 configuration and administration.
- Develop, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot MS T-SQL stored procedures, views, functions etc.
- Troubleshoot problems related to the performance tuning of stored procedures, tables, and indexes/keys
- Development and maintenance of public web site
- Provide technical documentation with every project release, strong commitment to commenting code base.
