World Energy Solutions, Inc., the operator of leading online exchanges for energy and environmental commodities is looking for an experienced, driven, “A-level” professional to join our successful, entrepreneurial team in our dedicated and accomplished Operations Department. The ideal candidate will have at least two years experience in a professional, analytical role, with moderate/advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.
World Energy’s award-winning online auction platform enables customers to secure a highly competitive price for their power and green credits via structured auction events and our post and respond procurement system. World Energy’s customers include federal and state government agencies, Fortune 500 commercial and industrial corporations, utilities, and independent power producers and renewable energy project developers.
You will be expected to: - Possess strong analytical skills with an affinity for working with Excel.
- Organize usage data, track deal process and perform market research.
- Maintain the integrity of World Energy’s platform.
- Develop World Energy’s pricing indices.
- Support Sales and Operations. Assist in monitoring and refining workflow and business process to meet corporate goals.
- Support team members with the day-to-day activities of the team and work with peers to accomplish corporate objectives.
- Analyze customer usage using utility rate models.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
- Experience with more advanced analytical tools such as SAS, SPSS, @Risk, a plus.
- An undergraduate degree (at a minimum.)
