World Energy’s Energy Efficiency Group is an energy conservation engineering and project management team focused on assessing, developing, engineering, and managing commercial energy efficiency projects. Specifically, projects include commercial building energy audits, project scope development, equipment specifications and ROI analyses. We work with local utilities on incentive programs, present project analyses and provide turnkey energy efficiency project solutions for our clients. Our focus is on high ROI lighting, mechanical and energy management systems. We also have renewable energy solutions available to our clients including solar and CHP.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented professional to join our Energy Efficiency Inside Sales team. Inside Sales is responsible for researching and developing qualified leads for the Company’s energy efficiency audit team. Through a well-developed and strategic outbound contact program, World Energy’s Inside Sales team is responsible for identifying small business utility customers and qualifying them for energy efficiency audits and further follow-up.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of World Energy’s utility-sponsored Small Business energy efficiency efforts and will be based in Cromwell, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate leads while ensuring high potential of energy-efficiency opportunities and internal key performance indicators are met.
- Customer Prospecting to include, management, daily telemarketing and networking at selected business and community events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or Associate’s Degree with related experience
- 1 to 3 years sales experience
- Proven ability to conduct successful cold calls
- Knowledge of the CT & MA area
- Current driver’s License and Car
- Strong organizational, verbal and written skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com CRM a plus
- Commercial energy and lighting experience a plus
